Adieu Monsieur
Haffmann

Paris, 1942: All Jews must wear a yellow star. Joseph Haffmann, a Jewish jeweler on the verge of bankruptcy, offers his employee Pierre Vigneau the chance to take over his jewelry store while he hides in the basement. Pierre, who is infertile, accepts on one condition: that Joseph help Pierre’s wife conceive a child. Thus begins a very unusual living arrangement between the three protagonists…

Part thriller, part romance, Adieu Monsieur Haffmann plunges us into the hard world of occupied Vichy France – where lives are shaped by the twin scourges of the war and the black market. Honoured with four of France’s prestigious Molière Awards in 2018, this instant classic has been unanimously hailed by the critics for its humanity, humour, and charm.
