Élise learns in class that the earth is warming up rapidly; that the ice caps are melting; and that the number of endangered species is constantly increasing. Outraged and frightened, she feels overwhelmed in the face of this disaster. How can she prevent the complete destruction of the environment? With the help of her best friend Amal, Élise takes on a daring and difficult science project in order to save the planet.
Élise contre l’extinction totale depicts the ethical awakening of a rebellious and exuberant heroine. Through interaction with the audience, who at times become Élise and Amal’s classmates, this show explores the themes of friendship, teamwork, and respect for others and for the environment.
